My daughter pointed it out to me. The black cat was stretched out on a flat stone in my backyard. It gazed at us through the glass patio doors with eyes green as grass. She said the cat caught a mouse, played with it for a bit, then killed and ate it. No wonder the satisfied look on its face. I don’t mind the neighborhood’s feral cats killing mice but please leave the baby birds alone. Even if it could understand, it wouldn’t obey. It’s the nature of cats. Someday though cat nature will be changed and lions will lie down with lambs.

The language is most likely symbolic. You can’t help but wonder what all these changes will be like and the harmony that will take over everything. Thanks, Sheila.
