While working on my budget I began to figure out how much I should budget for donations. Am I giving enough to please God? Then it comes to me–again–he doesn’t need anything from me. The little widow gave everything she had at the temple. You might think she was being a little foolish, but it was an act of devotion. Jesus pointed to her attitude as an example of faith and that’s what God is interested in. Giving is an act of worship. It’s not the amount, it’s the attitude.
