When I first came out of legalism, I felt like Peter must have felt when he stepped out of the boat onto the water and walked toward Jesus. I felt unsteady and sometimes I sagged down a bit, but when I did he lifted me up. Before long I was walking on solid ground, along with my Savior, living in faith through his righteousness. We live by his righteousness. We walk by his righteousness. We don’t have to worry about what to eat or wear or what days to keep or any of those things that seemed so important before walking with him in faith. Romans 1:17.
