Lead With Kindness

During Lent this year, Pope Leo XIV suggests refraining from offensive language and instead encourages kindness and respect in our relations with others. Though I’m not a Catholic, I’m totally on board with his suggestion. Haven’t we had enough of the divisiveness and hateful language that’s become commonplace in social media. I know I have. If we’re not careful we can become obsessive about being right in our opinions, and making sure everyone knows we’re right and they’re wrong. Though we may not agree with others doesn’t mean we should hatefully disrespect them.

  1. I agree with you. I have even stopped going to my Facebook page for a few months because of the way others respond and because of the lies and deceptions on it. It is okay to post fake videos, but not to express a truth, but if we do not stand our ground there, the lies are seen as acceptable. May we be kind and represent the truth of God even when others do not.
