Steadfast Love

As I prayed through some of the Psalms this morning, I noticed how often the words steadfast love come up when describing God. In other versions it may say unfailing love. How comforting are those words! I don’t know about you but some of my loves have failed me. I’ve been disappointed and hurt and I have disappointed and hurt others. But, our God, never! We may stray from him but he never abandons us. That understanding fills my heart with joy! Like a little child snuggled up in the arms of dad or mom, in his steadfast love I am at peace.
