“I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith” (Romans 1:11-12, NIV). When I read these words of the apostle Paul, it reminds me how important it is to connect with other followers of Jesus. Though it’s best to meet in person, one good aspect of our modern technology is that even the home bound can attend church and Bible studies and participate in support groups online. We don’t all have the same gifts. We need one another’s encouragement in the faith.
