Sometimes when I can’t get to sleep at night, negative thoughts come to mind. Did I spend my time today as God would want me to? Did I do enough for him today? Bad decisions I made even decades ago come up and cause a sense of shame and guilt. God doesn’t need anything from me and my sins were taken care of on the cross, so where does this come from. I think I know. Remember in Genesis when God asked Adam who told him he was naked? God is on our side. We are his beloved! Our sins are forgiven and forgotten! It’s done! When we have these negative thoughts, it’s not God who is telling us we’re still guilty.

Amen to that! I think of all the needs of others, and I can pray about it, but feel I should be doing more. That is his whisper as well. God is all we need and he will get the job done and right. Thanks Sheila!
