Points of Light

I’ve been fascinated by them since childhood and still love watching them. They fly around willy-nilly, little sparkles of light. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to where they go or when their lights go on or off. They flitter here and there, creating their own light shows for whoever cares to look. Watching them reminds me of how generous our God is. Like those fireflies, he blesses all his creatures. His sun shines on all of us; his rain falls on sinner and saint alike. In this dark world, can we be like those amazing bugs, God’s little sparks of light wherever we go, a blessing to all we meet?
