Last week a little yellow butterfly accompanied me on my walk. As I walked down the street and up a hill it flitted along beside me from one little flower to the next. Are you going with me the whole way? No, when I turned around, it didn’t go back to my house with me. It obviously had a lot more flitting to do. How marvelous creation is! Now that it’s spring it’s like my trees and flower gardens are waking up from a long winter’s nap. The birds, they’re busy as well, filling the air with their songs. The return of spring every year reminds me of who is in charge of this world and its seasons. And, of the One who will bring the eternal spring we long for.
