The restaurant had a waiting list so my daughter and I ordered lunch from the bar. As we waited for our food, the woman sitting next to my daughter struck up a conversation. We learned among other things that she was a doctor’s wife, her mother was in a rest home and her youngest was leaving to go to college. When she left, we wondered why she was sharing her personal life with a stranger while having lunch at a bar. A lunch that included a couple of gin and tonics! Whatever the reasons, God led her to a kind and listening heart that day.
